An extraordinarily meticulous study of supposed prehistoric megaliths found in Tripolitania and Cyrenaica (present-day Libya) by Henry Cowper during two visits in 1895 and 1896.  He travelled far and wide recording and photographing these structures.

The detailed history of Birmingham's Medieval Augustinian Priory, largely demolished in the C16th, to be replaced by an up-market residential Square which, in turn, was demolished during central Birmingham's C19th re-deveopment.

Privately printed by subscription this copy is number 169 of 200 copies, 52 pages plus 10 plates including two double page fold-outs in excellent condition. Hard-back folio with vellum spine. This copy has a signed dedication from the author on the flyleaf.
