From the Schenker collection 136 prehistoric seals of scribes, stewards and public servants dating from C8th-C6th BC are illustrated and described, some for the first time.   Most show ancient Hebrew inscription but Aramaic, Phoenician, Ammonite and Moabite scripts are also represented.  Each seal is described in terms of its fabric, size and shape with a transliteration of text and deduced ownership, plus provenance when known.  Paperback.  180 pages.  Minor signs of wear but generally good clean conditon.  Cat No 2538
