A history and architectural survey of a C15th coaching inn in central Oxford. A second section describes in detail the C16th wall paintings uncovered during re-decoration in the 1940´s. Accompanying the text are five large fold-out site plans showing the evolution of the building over the centuries and fourteen b&w plates, including photographs of the wall paintings.
