A large celebratory volume published to accompany an exhibition at the Pierpont Morgan Library marking the achievements of William Morris as an expert book collector of great discrimination, as a genius calligrapher, and as a skilfull typographer.  Three essays on each of these topics precede a descriptive catalogue of the exhibits and 114 plates (b&w, four in colour), a third of which comprise illustrations from Morris's personal library of Medieval manuscripts and incunabula.  Large heavy paperback.  140 pages.  Very good condition with no internal markings or inscriptions.  Cat No 4088
