This population was followed by the Dorset Eskimos who in turn gave way to Beothuk nomads. Also, the possibility of interaction between these groups and the immigrant Vikings of L'Anse aux Meadows and the certainty of the final eradication of tribes when they were confronted by the large European influx in the C16th and C17th.
