About the Book

Fascinating monograph publishing the text of a presentation given in Amsterdam by Prof Zink of the Bolzano Institute that illustrated the techniques deployed when examining mummies of the 18th Dynasty which determined their familial relationship and, in the case of Tutankhamun, the health problems from which he suffered including clubfoot and malaria.  A second similar report follows on the examinations conducted on the mummified body of the famous glacier mummy Ötzi found in the Alps at 3210 metres and now known to date from 3300 BC.  Findings include previously overlooked fractures and the mummy tissues predisposition to DNA sequencing.  Paperback.  48 pages.  Illustrated.  Bibliography.  Near new condition.  Cat No 2188
