A privately published detailed account of the history, construction and successive ownership of one of Birmingham’s oldest secular buildings thought to date back to the C15th written by its most notable advocate and saviour in the face of several attempts at demolishment and now restored to its former glory as a large public house.   Illustrated with a map. several fine engravings and two large fold-out facsimile manuscripts.  Hardback.  56 pages.  Hardback bound in green cloth with decoration in blind and gilt lettering.  Dedication from the author on the flyleaf, otherwise in good clean condition.  Cat No A235ea
