A large unpublished project report created on behalf of The Fountain Society by the Centre for Conservation Studies at De Montfort University.  Its first section deals with a history of garden fountains and cascades.  The large second section is a gazetteer of known C19th fountains at six locations in the North East of England – Chatsworth, Buxton, Lyme Park/Disley, Manchester, Liverpool, and Southport – each with extensive information regarding designer, date, operation, owner, and listing status.  A large number of colour photographs and location maps accompany the text.  Includes a lengthy bibliography.  Spiral bound.  95 pages.  Very good clean condition.  Cat No N209
