About the Book

A detailed survey of the many Pleistocene sites along the Soan river valley in the Punjab that have yielded paleolithic pebble tools and stone hand axes excavated and gathered by a team of local and Cambridge University archaeologists.   Sites are illustrated by b&w plates and the tools recovered depicted in a great many excellent line drawings.   An appendix also describes and illustrates a range of petroglyphs of ancient but indeterminate age discovered in the vicinity.  Hardback.  172 pages.  Small inscription to rear end paper, otherwise good clean condition in slightly worn dustwrapper.  Cat No 2239
