About the Book

Sir Samuel Meyrick was an avid collector and authority on ancient arms and armour whose personal collection, assembled in the early C19th and housed at Goodrich Court, numbered many thousands of items and included the Witham Shield dating from 4th century BC and a C12th enamelled reliquary casket (now both in the British Museum), as well as fine examples of C15th equestrian armour (now in the Wallace Collection).  Large paperback.  290 pages.  In near new condition.   Cat No 4889
