About the Book

A translation and commentary on a complicated ancient manuscript dating from the transition between the Old and New Kingdoms in ancient Egypt and known as Berlin Papyrus 3024.  The author works direct from its hieroglyphs to deviate from the traditional analytical translations undertaken by previous egyptologists and delves deeper into the philosophical aspects of this lamentation described as a' A Man Tired of Life' and thought to be a text used by initiates to the Inner Temple.  The author's transcriptions of the papyrus hieroglyphs are reproduced in their entirety as an Appendix.  Large paperback.  142 pages. Previous owner's name inside cover, otherwise in very good clean condition.  Cat No 4550
