About the Book

Pieroni’s Fountain is a relic from a forgotten Victorian past when it dispensed water from Bath's hot springs to passers-by.  Created by Stefan Pieroni, an immigrant from Tuscany, whose name can still be traced around the base of the fountain.  Pieroni moved to Bath where he went on to play a key role in the city's social, cultural and political life which this book describes alongside archive photographs of the fountain and illustrations of its current site and appearance.  Paperback.  88 pages.  New condition.  Cat No 4638
