A sumptuous catalogue of an exhibition that took place in Berlin in 1976 commemorating the reign of the 18th dynasty pharaoh Akhenaten and his regal wife Nefertiti who broke with tradition to found the new city Amarna and the short-lived cult worship of the god Aten.  The eighty-eight exhibits each get a full page photograph in either colour or b&w and lengthy descriptions (in German).  Large paperback.  Very good clean condition.  Cat No 4178
