This book highlights the best of the Ancient Egyptian collections at Ipswich Museum and gives an excellent introduction to the lives, gods and the artistic achievements of the ancient Egyptians.  Artefacts featured range from the earliest from the earliest Neolithic, through pre-dynastic cultures, followed by shabtis, alabaster pots, wooden figurines, shell necklaces, stelae, amulets and scarabs from Old and New Kingdoms.  A final section deals with mummification including coffins, canopic jars, mummy cloths and mummy masks.  Paperback.  60 pages.  Illustrated throughout in colour.  Very good condition.  Cat No 3672
