Single lot auction catalogue for a very large Ming dynasty butter lamp, made for a Buddhist temple in China or Tibet with an inscription showing that it was manufactured during the reign of the emperor Jingtai, who reigned from 1450-1456. No comparable piece is known in the West.  It sold for £1.3m.  Paperback.  64 pages.
