Published to accompany an exhibition at the Oxford University's Museum of Natural History this is an album of high quality b&w photographs taken by Hiram Bingham during his discovery expeditions of 1911 and 1912 which first brought the hidden city of Machu Picchu to public attention, as well as similar photographs taken by explorer Martin Chambi in the 1930's, all of which show the Inca ruins in their unrestored state before the addvent of mass tourism.  Paperback.  24 pages.  In very good, near new condition.  Cat No 4168
