A facsimile of a lengthy letter from Robert Laneham (aka Langham), a member of Queen Elizabeth I’s court, to Humfrey Martyn of the Mercers' Company describing the Summer 1575 entertainment of the Queen by Robert Dudley, 1st Earl of Leicester, at Kenilworth Castle.  As such, the letter is an important historic document shedding light on a subject that might otherwise remain obscure.  87 pages. Paperback.  Slight discolouration to cover edges, otherwise in good condition with no inscriptions or library markings.  Cat No 4670
