A complete chronology and history of this prolific Debyshire pottery which opened in 1865 and closed finally after many iterations and ownership changes in 1982. during its heyday it produced not only a wide range of ornamental vases and tableware but also many purely functional stoneware items - ink pots, footwarmers, mineral water bottles, tobacco jars, match strikers, pieces of which were found during perfunctory excavations at the time of demolition and site development in the 1990's. A very large number of examples of the pottery's output are illustrated in excellent colour photographs from the elaborate decorated show pieces to the many more mundane items.
