This book documents the introduction of printing to Indonesia and its immediate history thereafter starting in the 1670's with books printed by the East India Company on type imported from the Netherlands and taken up subsequenty by Christian missionaries producing proselytising tracts in Malay and Moluccan languages.  Paperback.  54 pages.  Title pages of several of the earliest publications are reproduced.  Good clean condition.  Cat No 3110
