About the Book
Ayers Rock-Mt. Olga National Park Environmental Study 1972
Although not overtly dedicated to the archaeology of these two extraordinary rock formations long revered as sacred by aboriginal peoples, this is the first study to record all aspects of their immediate environment - geology, climate, soil, land classification, flora and fauna. The study was required so that an environmental impact statement could be prepared in response to a vastly expanded tourist industry in the region. A useful bibliography and species lists for plants, mammals, birds and reptiles follow the main text and a very large full-colour fold-out map of land classifications for both sites is included in a rear pocket. Paperback. 52 pages. Very good clean condition. Cat No 4440
